Snowmobile rental
At Leonarden in Lindvallen, you can rent a snowmobile to experience the mountain on your own or join us on a guided tour.
The Sälen area offers over 40 miles of prepared snowmobile trails. Is it your first time driving a snowmobile or do you wanna go on a challenging long trip? Regardless of your wishes, there is something that suits you.
To rent a snowmobile on your own, you need a Swedish B driver’s license issued before January 1, 2000 or a driver’s license for snowmobiles. If you do not meet these driver’s license requirements, you can still drive a snowmobile on one of the guided scooter tours, then the requirement is just a regular driver’s license for car, regardless of when it was issued.
When renting a snowmobile, a helmet is included. There is also a limited number of snowmobile overalls and snowmobile boots to borrow.
It is important to follow the laws and local regulations that apply to snowmobiling, more information can be found in the booking conditions. The staff are happy to help in the store and check a suitable route before you set out. The snowmobile is delivered with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank of fuel. (There is a Circle K right next to the store.)

Guided tours
THREE MOUNTAINS incl. lunch at Storfjällsgraven

This is the tour for those who want to experience a slightly longer snowmobile safari in a lovely mountain environment. The tour goes over a total of three mountains – Hemfjället, Mellanfjället and Storfjället. About two-thirds of the way into the tour, a lunch stop is made at cozy Storfjällsgraven. Here you choose either a warming soup or a waffle for lunch. For this you also get to choose a drink, perhaps a hot chocolate with whipped cream sounds tempting?

The FIKA TOUR inc. fika at Storfjällsgraven

The Safari “Fikaturen” is perfect for those who are beginners and want to try driving a snowmobile in a mountain environment. Halfway into the tour we will make a stop at cozy Storfjällsgraven for a Swedish fika in front of the fireplace.

Rent snowmobiles without a guide

Yamaha Mp 500cc
A classic touring scooter, the scooter is easy to drive and has room for 1 passenger. Touring scooters are only suitable for trails, with shorter mat length and lower cams they make for a more comfortable ride for both passenger and rider. Perfectly suited for family outings on trails or longer trips with a lot of driving.
